It Was All A Dream
The best rule for photography is that there're sometimes no rules.
I know for a candid portrait, you might want to get up close, and create tight composition. However, there is nothing wrong with exploring the space of a shot.
In this photo, Garin is still the focus, but I like how the extra wall space makes him seem smaller.
Which is good, cause he'll always be my baby boy, and I wanted to emphasize his youth in this photo...mostly because in this photo compared to others, he's taking on a lot more manly qualities and features.
Lastly, this was just one of those photos where color didn't work. Removed the colored, sharpened it up a little, and some minor burning of the corners to finish the look.
